CHIP, SSI, TANF cash benefits, Medicaid and insurance and consent to bill insurance
and children in foster care will have no cost share to pay. Families whose income

Does my insurance pay for these services?
HMOs do not usually pay for ECI services. Other insurance programs generally pay
for some services such as physical therapy and occupational therapy. A few pay for
speech therapy and nutrition services. If your insurance pays for any of these services
in a given month, the family will not have a cost for that month.
Where does money come from to pay for these services?
Most of the ECI budget is made up of federal and state funds under IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act)
in the Department of Education. The balance comes from Medicaid and private insurance.
If our income is high, can we still get services?
