Outpatient Services
are provided according to the Resiliency and Disease Management
model for all Texas Community Mental Health Centers. There are eight MHMRTC outpatient
clinics throughout Tarrant County whose major focus is to provide psychiatric mental
health services to adults who reside in Tarrant County. One of the clinics specializes
in providing services to the homeless population. The clinics are located in Arlington,
Fort Worth and in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford areas. The services provided include,
symptom management, rehabilitation therapies, case management, supportive housing,
eligibility determination and patient and family education.
Service Coordination includes:
- Assisting in the development of the consumer's service plan
- Accompanying the consumer to the initial provider appointments
- Updating assessments and service plans every 90 days to determine if the consumer
is eligible to continue services with MHMRTC
- Coordinating and monitoring identified services and referrals
- Advocating on behalf of the consumer
- Providing support and coordination of services during crisis.
Paradise Center is a consumer-run
community center for Tarrant County residents living with mental illness. The Center
supports members’ participation in social, educational and recreational activities
such as art classes, camping, peer support, community outings, and educational classes.
A Member Advisory Board, made up of thirteen elected peers, oversees the daily operations
of the Center.
